The Potomac Playmakers firmly believes that community theatre enriches the lives of everyone associated with it, whether onstage, backstage, or in the audience, and that support from the community is vital to our long term success. While we also look for financial assistance through grants and sponsorships, it is the ongoing monetary and in-kind gifts from donors like you that bind our community together, making this area a great place to live and visit. No amount is too small. We have been serving the community since 1926, and everyone, from the board of directors, to directors, actors, and crew, are volunteers. Please consider making a donation today, and help us reach our 100th birthday!
We are hosting a full season of Main Stage shows, and special events and shows such as Shakespeare, Rocky Horror Picture Show, and open mic performances. To provide the entire community with a place to entertain, educate and advocate for the arts, we make the theatre available for rent for special events.
Since we acquired the former church building we have made enormous strides in its renovation, including rebuilding the stage, installation of new bathrooms and a box office, lighting and sound equipment, paving the parking lot, waterproofing, new windows, and the list goes on. The list of needs continues, however, such as updating the HVAC, and insulating the building. To accomplish everything necessary to complete the renovations in our building we need your help. Please consider supporting the Potomac Playmakers by contributing to our Capital Campaign. Any donation will be greatly appreciated, but for those who contribute at least $100, your name will be added to our perpetual plaque in the theatre and acknowledged in our programs. The tiers are as follows:
$100-249 Patron
$250-499 Performer
$500-999 Producer
$1,000+ Angel
The Potomac Playmakers, Inc. is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization and all donations are tax-deductible.
We wish to thank our generous Capital Campaign donors.
