., “The Sunshine Boys” will be directed by Jim Zuna and will run May 12-14, 2023 and May 19-21, 2023. Auditions for “The Sunshine Boys” will be held February 19 & 20, 2023 at The Potomac Playmakers Performing Arts Center, located at 17303 W. Washington Street, Hagerstown, Maryland 21740. Auditions will start at 7:00 p.m. and will consist of cold readings from the script. The script includes five male roles aged mid-20’s into late 60’s/70’s, and two female roles aged mid-20’s and up.
In the classic Neil Simon comedy, “The Sunshine Boys“ Al and Willie, known professionally as ‘Lewis and Clark’, were top-billed vaudevillians for over forty years. Now, it has been over twelve years since they’ve even spoken. When a television network requests them for a ‘History of Comedy’ retrospective show, a grudging reunion brings the two back together to remaster their most celebrated sketch, along with a flood of memories, miseries, and laughs. Can these two comedy legends possibly work out their issues in time for their return to the public eye?
